Grant policy
Grant applications will be considered at meetings of Trustees.
Applications must fall within the stated objects of the Trust.
Trustees will judge an application on its merit with regard to whether, within the UK, it will:
· Advance and broaden the application of photodynamic medicine in terms of research and patient treatment
· Support education and raise awareness of PDT
· Support basic, applied and clinical research into photo-diagnosis and PDT
· Support patient treatment
· Support exchange of researchers and clinicians involved in photodynamic medicine to allow international participation and training
· Investigate the use of PDT in vetinary / animal medicine
Applications will be presented to Trustees prior to the meeting.
Following discussion, voting will determine which project / projects will be allocated financial support.
When necessary, Trustees may form a medical / scientific sub-committee, to include non-Trustee members, for the purpose of advising the Trust on specific submissions.
The Treasurer will liaise with successful applicants regarding payment of a grant.
